Far away
1997 Far away was my first trial to compile some songs on one CD. In this time my friend Roger Lang helped me a lot both with computer knowledge and with his enthusiasm. His favorite song was death2 which we even performed live at his summer party. I guess we both still believe that this could be a No.1 hit :-) The second sample of these songs is Laredo which was written on vacation I spent in the beautiful town Laredo and still is one of my favorite ballads.

In 2000 I compiled the second collection of songs, this time including one cover song and Matthias Hettmer helped with mastering. The sound quality, therefore, was improved compared to far away. From holiday I selected three sample songs. I wrote the first one, life, when I was 14 but I still like this song (but not the Englisch :-)). The second song, eternity, is my personal favorite song. Most of the songs from holiday benefit from the great voice of Eva Gerick who did not only help with her voice but also played the impressive percussion part in eternity contributed with perfect Latin in garden of eden which is the third sample song.

Direction
In 2004 I compiled direction, again with one cover song. It was the song all students of faculty V (geoscience and mining) in Aachen celebrated on their parties. I intended to include some 90ties pop elements and mix this with some metal guitars. The result is interesting but may not meet everybodies taste. The second sample song from direction is nightmare which is one of my few instrumental songs I really like. Although one could guess so, there is no story behind nightmare, it is just the result of jamming with the computer.

In 1998 my father asked me to produce eight songs he intended to use for the presentation of his recent picture (wood prints) series called “genesis”. These songs were supposed to be suitable for meditation and of cause fit to the respective picture. Daniel
Because many people liked my Dads´ picture/music presentation he asked me again to create some songs for his follow up picture series “Daniel” (old testament). Some of the songs from Schöpfung and Daniel were yet used for medium scale foto presentations for which it would not be feasable to play well known songs and pay the gema charge. With no respect
This compilation of cover songs (a lot of them were sung by Eva) was thought as birthday present. We simply intended to cover a few of the old and famous songs. However, because of the need to finish the compilation right in time, the sound quality did not become perfect. Nevertheless, with no respect contains some interesting and even some really good cover songs. The two best of them are Major Tom and nothing compares to you.
