Hi there, my name is Stephan Kaufhold and as most of you I spent much my time with my job (http://www.bgr.bund.de/kaufhold).

I started to play guitar when I was 10 years old and a few years later I tried to record what I played (and sung) with a 40,- DM-cass-recorder.At the age of 14 I got my first e-guitar (of cause a Fender Strat) and my first small Studio was complete with my Fostex 4-track-recorder. Today I use the original Steinberg Softwares Cubase and Wavelab. The computer on which they are running is rather old but it still works well.

I have to admit that the quality of the first recordings, even the first compilation of songs I made (far away), was rather bad. It actually improved but I guess this will be an ongoing process :-)
